Routes of Administration and Effects

Administration: 

It is usually administered orally, but it can also be taken sublingually or, less commonly, rectally.

Dosage and Effects: 

  • Thienotriazolodiazepine Effects: Sedation, relief from anxiety, muscle relaxation, and sleep-inducing properties.

  • Adverse Effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, cognitive impairment, reduced motor coordination, and slurred speech. Severe effects can include respiratory depression and paradoxical effects.

Dose Range (oral):

  • Light: 2-4 mg

  • Common: 4-6 mg

  • Strong: 6-12 mg+

Onset and Duration:

  • Onset: 1-5 minutes

  • Duration: 8-10 hours

  • After Effects: 1-8 hours
