Antidote: 

Flumazenil, a benzodiazepine receptor antagonist, in emergency settings to reverse sedation and respiratory depression. However, flumazenil use is limited due to its potential to trigger seizures in dependent individuals.

Primarily metabolized in the liver via the cytochrome P450 enzyme system (CYP3A4).

Drug-Drug Interactions: 

There is a high potential for dangerous interactions with other CNS depressants, including alcohol, opioids, and other benzodiazepines, which can significantly increase the risk of depression, coma, and death.
