Description and Classification
Deschloroetizolam:
A synthetic depressant of the thienotriazolodiazepine class. It is structurally related to etizolam, differing by the absence of a chlorine atom at the 2-position of the phenyl ring.
Relative Potency
Potency:
Deschloroetizolam is less potent than etizolam but retains significant sedative, hypnotic, and anxiolytic properties. It is often cited as approximately 0.33–0.5 times as potent as etizolam.

Purpose
Deschloroetizolam might be used recreationally or experimentally for anxiety reduction, sleep induction, or as a muscle relaxant.
