Relative Potency:

1-3.5 times more potent than morphine (10,12)

Treatment Options

Supportive Care:

Ensuring a clear airway, providing oxygen, and using mechanical ventilation if needed.

Antidote:

Naloxone is effective for managing MT-45 intoxication, though higher doses may be required compared to other opioids due to MT-45's unique chemical properties. However, in some cases, doses of less than 2 mg naloxone have been sufficient to achieve a response.

Pharmacokinetics and Dynamics

Metabolism:

MT-45 is metabolized in the liver, though detailed pathways are not well-documented. It is likely processed through typical hepatic enzyme systems, producing metabolites that are excreted in urine.

Drug-Drug Interactions:

Combining MT-45 with other central nervous system depressants, such as benzodiazepines, alcohol, or other opioids, can significantly increase the risk of respiratory depression and overdose. Stimulants may mask some depressant effects, increasing the risk of misuse.
