Pharmacokinetics and Dynamics
Metabolism:
N-Desethyl protonitazene is metabolized in the liver via cytochrome P450 enzymes, then excreted in urine.
Drug-Drug Interactions:
Combining it with alcohol, benzodiazepines (Xanax, Valium), sedatives, or other opioids significantly increases the risk of fatal respiratory depression. CYP enzyme inhibitors may prolong its duration and increase toxicity.
