Treatment Options

Supportive Care:

Ensuring a clear airway, providing oxygen, and using mechanical ventilation if needed.

Antidote:

Overdose can be reversed with naloxone, but due to its high potency, multiple doses may be required.

Pharmacokinetics and Dynamics

Metabolism:

N-Desethyl protonitazene is metabolized in the liver via cytochrome P450 enzymes, then excreted in urine.

Drug-Drug Interactions:

Combining it with alcohol, benzodiazepines (Xanax, Valium), sedatives, or other opioids significantly increases the risk of fatal respiratory depression. CYP enzyme inhibitors may prolong its duration and increase toxicity.
