Opioid Effects: Produces strong analgesic effects, intense euphoria, and profound sedation. Like other opioids, it also causes severe respiratory depression.
Adverse Effects: High risk of overdose, with potentially fatal outcomes due to respiratory depression. Other side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and constipation.

Severe: Respiratory arrest, coma, and death, particularly in cases of overdose or when used with other CNS depressants like alcohol or benzodiazepines.
