4-Fluorobutyryl Fentanyl (4-FBF): A synthetic opioid and an analog of fentanyl, modified with a fluorobutyryl group.
Relative Potency
Potency: About 1/8th of the potency of fentanyl, but still significantly more potent than morphine (approximately 7 times more potent).
Why It Is Added
Purpose
It is added to mimic the potent opioid effects of fentanyl. Often found in illicit drug markets as a substitute for or adulterant in fentanyl to enhance or prolong the effects.
